Teston Road Resurfacing

York Region is removing and replacing the asphalt road surface on Teston Road from Dufferin Street to Bathurst Street, including intersection improvements at Via Romano Boulevard. The project will upgrade traffic signals and install new infrastructure to improve accessibility, accommodate increasing traffic volumes, and maintain the road in a good state of repair. Work also includes replacing guiderails, cleaning roadside ditches and repairing and replacing culverts to ensure proper water flow under driveways. Residents will be contacted by the contractor before any driveway work begins.

Duration: June to September 2026

Impacts to Travellers

The road will remain open to through traffic; however, temporary lane closures are required:

• Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Traffic control personnel will direct traffic when reduced to one lane 
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained

As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible. Thank you for your patience during the construction period.
