York Region’s Vision Zero Traveller Safety Plan supports improvements to road safety for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is installing a new traffic signal.
Description:
Intersection improvements
- York Region is installing a new signal at Warden Avenue and Vivian Road
- Installing a traffic signal provides a controlled crossing for pedestrians and motorists
Duration:
Construction will occur in the next six months depending on the contractor’s scheduling.
Impacts to travellers:
- Work will occur Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required to complete road improvements
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
