Yonge Street – Notice of Temporary Lane Restriction
The Regional Municipality of York has installed twin forcemain sewers along Yonge Street as part of the new Henderson Sewage Pumping Station construction in the Town of Aurora.
As the road is being restored following the installation of the sewers, a temporary northbound lane restriction on Yonge Street from Davina Circle to Industrial Parkway South is required.
When: The work is underway between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily until Friday, May 12, 2023
What are the impacts:
- Traffic control measures will be in place to help with traffic movement and there will be periodic delays; please slow down when travelling in the area and follow posted signage
- Access to all roads, businesses and the Aurora Cemetery will be maintained
- York Region Transit (YRT) service will be maintained; riders can call the YRT contact centre at 1-866-668-3978 or visit yrt.ca for schedule information
- Due to the nature of the work, there will be some construction-related noise and dust from the equipment and trucks and every effort to minimize this will be made
- There are no planned impacts to your water or wastewater services
Thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions.
