Yonge Street, Holland Landing Road and Bathurst Street in the Town of East Gwillimbury

Road Improvements

Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is making improvements to Yonge Street, Holland Landing Road and Bathurst Street.

  • Construction of retaining wall
  • Road surface improvements

Holland Landing Road

  • Road surface improvements

Bathurst Street

  • Extension of concrete median

Duration:

April 11, 2022 until Fall 2022

Impacts to Travellers:

Yonge Street from Highway 11 to Holland Landing Road

  • Road work, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • At least one lane will remain open during construction of the retaining wall and temporary lane closures will be required to complete road work and for deliveries

Holland Landing Road from Yonge Street to Bathurst Street

  • Road work, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Temporary lane closures will be required to complete road surface improvements

Bathurst Street from Highway 11 to Graham Sideroad

  • Road work, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Temporary lane closures will be required to complete median work

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
