National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week in May increases awareness across North America of the importance of public works and recognizes the professionals that work behind the scenes.

Paint a Plow Contest

Grade five students from eight schools across York Region will participate in our Paint a Plow Contest as part of National Public Works Week, May 21-27, 2023.
Schools that participate in the Paint a Plow contest will have a plow delivered to the school along with brushes and paint. Students create a design and paint it on the plow blade for a change to win a pizza lunch for the class and a gift card. Designs are showcased at the Family Fun Day event on Saturday, May 27, 2023 and attendees vote for the winning design.
