Child-Care centres remain open

Following the Government of Ontario’s announcement on December 21, York Region entered a 28-day province-wide shutdown on December 26, 2020. Licensed child-care centres and home care providers across Ontario are able to remain open during the province-wide shutdown period, with the exception of licensed child-care centres for school-aged children, which have been ordered closed from January 4, 2021 to February 9, 2021.

Licensed child-care centres and home child care providers across Ontario can operate with strict health and safety measures in place.
