Charges and Orders

Public Health Inspectors may issue charges and orders during the course of their inspections. A charge is a Provincial Offences Notice with set fines. An order is a written or verbal direction to correct a health hazard.

Important Information

We are currently updating our inspection reporting system. In order to transition to the new system, the YorkSafe site will not be retrieving inspection data from Saturday, January 25, 2020 until the end of day on Monday February 10, 2020. This means you will not be able to access any YorkSafe inspection reports generated during the blackout period. These reports will be made available by February 17, 2020. If you require inspection information, please contact Health Connection at 1-800-361-5653 (TTY 1-866-512-6228) or open.data@york.ca for open data requests.
