Bathurst Street Watermain Replacement



Notice of Project Implementation

York Region is working to replace an existing watermain along Bathurst Street from Centre Street to just north of Highway 7 in the City of Vaughan and the Town of Richmond Hill. The existing watermain is approaching the end of its usefulness and will be upgraded with new infrastructure.

This project is being completed as a Schedule A+ undertaking in accordance with the Municipal Engineer’s Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document (2000, as amended in 2011). Work associated with the Project will be completed as part of the vivaNext H2 transit rapidway project. The contract for the rapidway project will be awarded fall 2015, with construction of the watermain beginning as early as spring 2016. 

All work will be completed in accordance with the local bylaws. York Region will work to minimize disruption or inconveniences to local residents and businesses. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
