Notice of Completion

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study of Dufferin Street EA between Langstaff Road and Teston Road in the City of Vaughan

The Regional Municipality of York has completed an Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for improvements to Dufferin Street between Langstaff Road and Teston Road in the City of Vaughan. The planned road improvements will help address existing and future traffic demands within the study area. The EA Study identified the following recommendations for Dufferin Street:

  • Widen to six lanes from Langstaff Road to Marc Santi Boulevard, located north of Rutherford Road
  • Widen to four lanes from Marc Santi Boulevard to Teston Road
  • Construct cycling facilities and sidewalks on both sides of Dufferin Street
York Region intends to proceed with design and construction of the project following completion of the EA Study, and has prepared an Environmental Study Report (ESR) documenting the study process, consultation efforts and recommended plan.

This Notice of Completion places the ESR on public record for a 30-day public review period, starting May 2, 2019. The ESR can be downloaded from the Dufferin Street EA Project page and is also available at the following locations from January 31, 2019 to March 1, 2019 during normal business hours:

If concerns cannot be resolved through discussions with York Region, a person may request the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to issue a Part II Order for this project.

A Part II Order Request Form must be used to request a Part II Order. The Form is available on the Forms Repository website at forms.ssb.gov.on.ca by searching “Part II Order” or “012-2206E” (the form ID number).

The Part II Order request must be received by the Minister at the address below no later than May 31, 2019.
