Earth Day is an annual, global celebration taking place on April 22. This year’s theme is a call to end plastic pollution. Reducing waste and helping protect the environment can start with small changes. One plastic product many people use unnecessarily is the single-use drinking straw. This Earth Day, York Region asks residents to think twice and skip the straw if you don’t need it.
