Encouraging women to join the field of Transit Special Constable

Newmarket – Special Constables from York Region Transit (YRT), Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Metrolinx (GO) and Ottawa Carleton Transportation (OC) are co-hosting the second annual Transit Special Constable Women’s Symposium to encourage more women to join the field. Women currently make up only between 9% and 15% of Transit Special Constables.

The symposium will provide opportunities to meet, hear and ask questions from Transit Special Constables from across the four transit agencies.
