New online video celebrates what it means to live, work and play in York Region

Newmarket – Flourishing forests that spark the imagination of children. Vibrant city centres that bring communities together. Bustling business hubs that deliver big ideas. A home for families who have lived here for generations and new arrivals alike. This is York Region, a place where so many live, work and play, and the subject of a new online video entitled #LoveYR.

Released today by The Regional Municipality of York on Facebook, the #LoveYR online video showcases both the beauty and geographic diversity of York Region. Featuring locations in all nine cities and towns, the video captures what it means to live, work and play in one great Region from sunrise to sunset, helping to build a sense of community and identity for the Region.

The video, embedded below, can also be found on York Region’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/YorkRegionGovt

York Region invites everyone to view, like, comment and share the video with their networks. Followers of York Region social networks are also invited to share what they love about York Region using #LoveYR for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.
