When:
Friday, September 27, 2019 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Where:
Bathurst Street and Carrville/Rutherford Road in the City of Richmond Hill

Who:
YRP will be conducting radar surveillance and joining York Region staff to inform travellers of the enhanced intersection features.

The media event will highlight some enhanced safety features currently being piloted in select areas over the next year. Safety features include:

  • No right turns on red
  • Exclusive left turn signal
  • Added warning signage for motorists to yield to pedestrians

Drivers are also being reminded to slow down and always obey the posted speed limits.
