Temporary Road Closure – Ninth Line between Bloomington and Aurora



Newmarket – The Regional Municipality of York is temporarily closing Ninth Line between Bloomington Road and Aurora Road in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville starting Wednesday, January 15 at 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Immediate work is needed to repair an embankment as a result of significant rainfall this past weekend.

For safety reasons, this section of Ninth Line is already reduced to one lane.

During the temporary closure, local access will be maintained. Electronic message boards have been placed in the area to advise motorists of the temporary road closure.

We appreciate the patience of residents and motorists as the Region works to repair the issue as quickly as possible.
