York Region students get crash course in dangers of impaired driving

Newmarket – The York Region P.A.R.T.Y. (Preventing Risk and Alcohol related Trauma in Youth) Program is hosting a mock scenario to teach students in grades 10 through 12 about the dangers of driving under the influence.

York Region Paramedics and partners will re-create a lifelike vehicle crash to demonstrate life-threatening situations that can occur when a driver is high and unable to react quickly.

Media are invited to attend and experience the extreme physical, mental and emotional stresses that are created when youth make poor choices.
