York Small Business Enterprise Centre offering Environics Analytics market research access to small businesses

Newmarket – The Regional Municipality of York is taking further actions to support small businesses by offering clients increased access to advanced market research data to support business through the York Small Business Enterprise Centre (YSBEC).

Having access to market research data is a key factor for a business success, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. By offering increased access to this data, York Region is helping businesses grow, create new jobs and support economic vitality.

Through a partnership with Environics Analytics, the YSBEC will provide clients with access to powerful and meaningful data to help inform the development of business and marketing plans, including target customer demographics, consumer behaviour, lifestyles and values. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, clients will meet with a small business consultant virtually and work together to access the data and reports they need.

The YSBEC serves small businesses in the northern six municipalities of Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Newmarket and Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Access to Environics Analytics’ market research data will be provided to small business owners who are registered clients of the YSBEC and meet select criteria, including having 19 or less employees. Interested businesses are encouraged to visit to learn more and book a free consultation.

The YSBEC is managed by York Region in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and is part of a network of 47 Small Business Enterprise Centres located across Ontario. Each Small Business Enterprise Centre is focused on providing support to both new start-ups and existing small businesses through business consultations, training, workshops, seminars and networking events.

York Region remains committed to supporting the business community, and continues to collaborate with economic development stakeholders and industry leaders to support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Established in April, the is working with the business community to identify issues, streamline business advisory supports and conduct economic impact assessments.
