York Regional Forest closed to the public until further notice
Newmarket – As part of The Regional Municipality of York’s continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic and reducing the risk of infection, the York Regional Forest and its 21 forest tracts covering ----- hectares of land are closed to the public until further notice, effective immediately.
Residents and families are reminded to continue to practice physical and distancing by maintaining at least 2 metres (6 feet) space between you and others (outside of your immediate family).
The York Regional Forest is made up of 2,300 hectares of protected land, located in different parts of the Region. Eighteen properties with more than 120 kilometres of trail are available to the public.For a list of York Regional Forest tracts, please visit york.ca/yrf
