York Region’s annual emergency exercise will help weather the storm



2017 emergency exercise tests York Region’s preparedness during severe summer storm

Newmarket – The Regional Municipality of York will conduct its 2017 Emergency Exercise entitled, “Storm Support” on Friday, June 9. The annual exercise is organized by York Region to practice and evaluate the Region’s emergency response plan and procedures.

The exercise will practice and strengthen working relationships with community partners including York Regional Police, the Canadian Red Cross Society, Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, the Towns of East Gwillimbury, Georgina and Whitchurch-Stouffville and the Township of King.
