York Region Transit service changes take effect November 3



Newmarket – York Region Transit (YRT) service changes will take effect Sunday, November 3, 2019. These service changes will improve connections and operational performance.

Route highlights/service changes include:

  • Route 760 – Vaughan Mills / Wonderland – service hours changing to coincide with mall operating hours
  • Adjustments to Routes 10 – Woodbridge, 20 – Jane and 26 – Maple to service SmartCentres Place Bus Terminal
  • Route adjustments for Routes 1, 2 and 14 in the Markham Box Grove Plaza area due to construction in the area

Select Dial-a-Ride services are converting to Mobility On-Request where travellers can book rides using the YRT On-Request App, available in the App Store or Google Play.

  • Mobility On-Request Holland Landing
    • Route 52 and Dial-a-Ride will convert to Mobility On-Request allowing travel from an address in the service area to one of four select locations in Holland Landing
  • Mobility On-Request Sutton-Pefferlaw
    • Dial-a-Ride Sutton Pefferlaw will Convert to Mobility On-Request allowing travel from an address in the service area to one of five select locations in Sutton-Pefferlaw
  • Mobility On-Request North
    • Mobility On-Request North is a new route allowing travel from an address in the service area to the closest Route 50 stop

Travellers are encouraged to visit yrt.ca/servicechanges to review changes that may affect travel plans, including various seasonal and frequency adjustments. The November 2019 MyTransit Newsletter also contains up-to-date information and service updates.
