YRT/Viva service changes take effect July 2

Newmarket – YRT/Viva service changes will take effect on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Riders are encouraged to visit to review changes that may affect their travel plans, including various seasonal and frequency adjustments.

Route highlights/service changes include:

  • Route 9 – Ninth Line: will be revised to service along 14th Avenue and Ninth Line
  • Route 58 – Mount Albert: will be revised to service along Murrell Boulevard in Sharon and Ninth Line in Mount Albert
  • Route 83/83A – Trench: will detour on Bathurst Street for the summer due to construction on Trench Street
  • Route 222 – Aurora-Newmarket GO Shuttle: will service William Graham Drive and discontinue service to 404 Town Centre
  • Route 760 – Vaughan Mills/Wonderland: weekday service to Canada’s Wonderland returns
  • Route 50A - Sutton-Pefferlaw: will be discontinued; Sutton-Pefferlaw will have extended weekday Dial-a-Ride North service and a new weekend/holiday Dial-a-Ride Sutton-Pefferlaw service

Starting July 1, download the new mobile payment app, YRT/Viva Pay. The YRT/Viva Pay app allows customers to purchase fares anytime, anywhere, through the convenience of their smartphones. YRT/Viva Pay will be available for free in the App Store and Google Play.
