YRT/Viva service changes take effect November 6

Newmarket – YRT/Viva service changes will take effect on Sunday, November 6, 2016. These changes provide service enhancements and improve connections to major transit hubs and key destinations.

Riders are encouraged to visit to review changes that may affect their travel plans, including various seasonal and frequency adjustments.

Route changes include:

  • 56 - Gorham-Eagle: weekday evening service converted to Dial-a-Ride
  • Richmond Hill GO Shuttles: schedules adjusted to improve GO train connections at Richmond Hill GO Station
  • 760 - Vaughan Mills/Wonderland: schedules adjusted to reflect hours of operation at Vaughan Mills
  • Dial-a-Ride Gorham-Eagle: extended service area and will service select stops and curbside addresses

High School special highlights include:

  • 423 - Newmarket High School via Bristol: restructured to provide service along Woodspring Avenue and Aspenwood Drive
  • 440 - St. Theresa School Special via Mill and 450 - St. Theresa School Special via Tower Hill: schedules adjusted to improve connections with the school’s start time.
