Black History Month

February is Black History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the important contributions Black Canadians have made to Canadian society.

Did you know? York Region’s Community and Health Services Department and York Regional Police worked together to produce The Black Experience Project – York Region report, which provides insights into the contributions, successes, experiences and challenges of Black individuals living in the York Region community.

York Region is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that recognizes and celebrates all dimensions of diversity. You can learn more about the Inclusion Charter for York Region at york.ca/inclusiveyr. If you have any questions or comments, please contact inclusion@york.ca
