Drive Through Pop-up Testing in Georgina

Testing in Georgina

As we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, testing remains one of the most important tools in the fight.

On Wednesday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you will be able to pop-in for COVID-19 drive through testing. This community testing, led by the Georgina Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic will be located at 48 Hawkins Street, in the Georgina Sutton Arena Hall Parking Lot.

The community pop-up testing encourages residents without any COVID-19 symptoms to visit the mobile drive through testing site:

  • People who require testing in order to visit loved ones in a Long-Term Care home or congregate setting
  • Individuals who have either been in close contact with a confirmed case or in contact with someone suspected to have COVID-19
  • People who work in high-risk settings, such as retail, health care or food processing

With no appointment necessary, the drive through pop-up testing will be a great way to achieve the peace of mind of a COVID-19 test, without having to go to the hospital.

It is important to remember, if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 to please visit one of York Region’s three COVID-19 Assessment Centres.
