Here are just a few ways to explore our great region:

Love adventure

Home to premier amusement parks, including Canada’s Wonderland, the Wave Pool, Tree Top Trekking and the Rail Yard Wake and Aqua Park, York Region has got your thrills and adventures covered.

Love art and culture

Theatre lovers can catch a performance on one of our many local stages, while world-renowned art galleries offer hidden treasures for the art lover to discover.

For exciting festivals and events, the York Region Festival Trail runs throughout most of the year and features live music, food and lots of family fun.

Love food

Foodies rejoice, York Region is home to a large array of restaurants, breweries and wineries that show case the diversity of our region through a variety of flavours and cultures.

At-home cooks can experience a made-in York Region Thanksgiving with a farm to fork road trip that will take you on a tour of local farms and markets to get all the fixings for a family feast. If you don’t have the time for a fall foodie road trip, most local farmers markets are open until the end of October.

Love golf

The leaves may be changing, but it’s still warm enough to hit the links. With more than 50 private and public golf courses across all nine local cities and towns, York Region offers something for golfers of all skill levels.

Love the great outdoors

Made up of more than 2,300 hectares of protected land, York Region’s 18 forest tracts are open to the public 365 days a year with no cost to enter. From walking and cycling to bird watching and horseback riding, our 120 km of forest trails are an outdoor wonderland.

York Region also boasts a number of conservation areas and parks that offer outdoor adventure year round.
