York Region is making improvements to our wastewater system. Work is occurring through the Town of Newmarket for the Forcemain Twinning Project.

The work area at Madsen's Greenhouse Banquet & Chapel is under construction and fencing is being installed. The Tom Taylor Trail will remain open but at times construction machinery will impact the trail.

When: To end of August, 2019

What can you expect?

• Beginning August 7th the contractor will be setting up Work Area 2 at Madsen's Greenhouse Banquet & Chapel along Bayview Parkway

• Ten foot fencing will be installed around the work area

• Periodically the contractor will need to take up space on the Tom Taylor Trail in order to get this work done

• Flag staff will be on site to allow safe passage for trail users

• York Region staff will also be on site to answer any questions the public may have

• At times, flag staff may ask trail users to stop to allow safe movement for construction machinery

York Region will make every effort to minimize disruptions and we thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work.

Safety is a priority for York Region; please slow down when travelling through the forcemain twinning construction areas. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions.
