Making road safety part of your routine

After a long summer break traffic patterns will be returning to normal conditions. With vacations over and school starting, there are a lot more travellers on the roads. Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are reminded to be extra cautious during the transition to back to school and new routines. Here are some road safety tips to pack for your commute.

  • Give yourself plenty of travel time to avoid being rushed
  • Approach intersections with caution and look in all directions
  • Keep a safe distance around school buses
  • Obey traffic signals and rules of the road
  • Be alert and ignore your cell phone while driving or walking near traffic
  • Make eye contact
