The Regional Municipality of York will be testing the groundwater monitoring well installed on the southbound shoulder of Highway 27, north of Diana Drive in the community of Nobleton.
The groundwater monitoring well testing is part of the technical studies for the Nobleton Water and Wastewater Servicing Class Environmental Assessment Study and will help determine if this location is potentially suitable for a future community drinking water well.
When: June 17 to 24, 2020
What can you expect?
The testing will take place on the southbound shoulder of Highway 27, for approximately two days
Due to the nature of the work, there will be additional vehicles at the site, every effort to minimize impact will be made
Water will be discharged and directed towards the roadside drainage ditching on Highway 27
The discharge water will be monitored and the culverts along the drainage path will be inspected to ensure they are clear of material that could block drainage
Access to all homes and buildings will be maintained
There will be no impact to your water supply
