Pledge to Ignore your phone while driving

You’re all set to head off for the long-weekend but remember that distracted driving is now the leading cause of accidents on roads in Ontario.

The Pledge to Ignore campaign has been designed to help save lives and means making a commitment to yourself or a loved one not to use your cell phone while driving or texting while walking through traffic.

Today on social media we’re sharing e-cards and messages you can send your loved ones to tell them you’ve taken the pledge.

Make sure to count yourself in by visiting York.ca/pledgetoignore

To make your commitment to keep our roads safe, visit our website, click the button and make your mental commitment to leave the phone alone while driving. This message is important not only during Road Safety Week, but every day.

To send your loved one an e-card, like us on Facebook and share the message.
