Tell us why you #loveyr

Campaign continues to engage, inform and delight residents about the story of York Region

The Regional Municipality of York is an amazing place to live, work and play. Together with our nine cities and towns, we work hard to provide cost-effective, quality services that create a thriving community.

To help celebrate our Region and those who call it home, it seems fitting to launch our 2020 #loveyr campaign, today - Valentine’s Day.

York Region is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Canada and is responsible for providing 14 core services from transit and courts to paramedic services and water.

Since our inception in 1971, the Region has grown from 166,060 residents in 1971 to over 1.2 million residents today. The #loveyr campaign aims to enhance municipal government literacy and further unite our rapidly-growing and diverse community.

Over the next year, we’ll share information about our programs and services and how they positively impact the lives of residents each and every day.

Today, and all throughout the year, we invite you to join us as we celebrate everything that makes York Region so special and recognize the positive impact we have on the lives of our residents, visitors, businesses and workers.

Help us in the content creation by using the hashtag #loveyr and by sharing stories and images that reflect why you love York Region and what makes it such a desirable community.

And just in case you are looking for a last minute valentine to share with a special loved one? Don’t fret, we have you covered.
