Lane Restriction on Cane Parkway - YDSS Forcemain Twinning
July 12, 2019
In the Town of Newmarket

York Region is making improvements to our wastewater system. Work is occurring through the Town of Newmarket for the Forcemain Twinning Project.
During the work, lane restrictions will be in place on Cane Parkway from William Roe Boulevard to Lorne Avenue. The lane restrictions are necessary for safe separation of construction vehicles and daily traffic along Cane Parkway.
When: July 16, 2019 to the end of 2021
What can you expect?
- Cane Parkway will remain open to traffic throughout the duration of construction; expect periodic delays
- A construction vehicle turnaround will be built at the corner of Cane Parkway and Lorne Avenue
- Staff will be on site to assist with the movement of traffic, as required
- On-street parking will not be available; however, the parking lots on Cane Parkway will remain open
- Tom Taylor Trail will remain open to the public
York Region will make every effort to minimize disruptions and we thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work.
Safety is a priority for York Region; please slow down when travelling through the forcemain twinning construction areas.
