The Transportation Master Plan Advisory Task Force meeting was called to order at 9:08 a.m. on February 10, 2016. Regional Chair Emmerson chaired the meeting.

1. Meeting Objectives and Overview
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services, regarding “Meeting Objectives and Overview”.
2. Transportation Master Plan Update in Context
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Valerie Shuttleworth, Chief Planner regarding “Transportation Master Plan Update in Context”, which provided context with respect to how the Transportation Master Plan fits with the Regional Official Plan Update, Vision 2051 and the 2015 to 2019 Strategic Plan.
3. Draft 2041 Transportation Network and Phasing
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Stephen Collins, Director, Infrastructure Management and Project Management Office and Brian Hollingworth, Director of Transportation, IBI Group regarding “Draft 2041 Transportation Network and Phasing”. The presentation included a review of the proposed phasing based on evaluation of consistent criteria for evidence-based prioritization.
4. Financial Considerations and Funding Options
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Craig Binning, Hemson Consulting Ltd. regarding “Financial Considerations and Funding Options”. The presentation reviewed revenue options including traditional and alternative sources.
Next steps include estimating the amount of each funding source available and the impact on the Region’s Development Charges rates, and integrating a forthcoming operating cost analysis.
5. Next Steps
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services regarding next steps for the Task Force, which include a review of the draft Transportation Master Plan report at the next meeting in April.
The Transportation Master Plan Advisory Task Force meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
