The Transportation Master Plan Advisory Task Force meeting was called to order at 9 a.m. on June 15, 2016. Regional Chair Emmerson chaired the meeting.

1. Opening Remarks

 

The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services on achieving the TMP objectives through implementation, monitoring and reporting.

 

2. From Plan to Reality

 

The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Ashley Z. Hand, Transportation Technology Strategist, LA DOT regarding civic innovation, change and governance in the digital age.

 

3. Implementation Plan

 

The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Stephen Collins, Director, Infrastructure Management and Project Management Office regarding implementation of the TMP. The presentation included an overview of the TMP objectives, a review of important actions over the next 10 years and a discussion on measuring success through performance monitoring and reporting.

 

4. Next Steps

 

The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services regarding next steps for the Task Force, which include:

 

• Publishing the Transportation Master Plan

• Updating policies and initiating strategies

• Supporting the Development Charge Bylaw update and the Municipal Comprehensive Review

• Ongoing promotion and education of the TMP

• Delivering programs, projects and actions

• Monitoring and reporting on performance

 

The Transportation Master Plan Advisory Task Force meeting adjourned at 11:51 a.m.
