Application for Recreation Subsidy

Notice of Collection: The personal information collected in this online application form is being collected, used, and disclosed under the authority of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, Ontario Works Act, 1997, and the Municipal Act, 2001 for the purpose of determining your eligibility for recreation subsidy programs and to administer the programs. The information provided in the application may be disclosed to and used by York Region’s recreation program delivery partners who require the information for the purposes of administering the recreation programs. Have you been determined eligible for PLAY for the current 2026-2027 period?

You are already eligible so there is no need to re-apply. You will have received a confirmation email to register for PLAY. Please contact Access York: 1-877-464-9675 if you have any questions.

If you are a single parent, or a family with children ages four to 18, and wish to register for the PLAY Subsidy, please indicate which services you are receiving:

Summer Day Camp

If you have children ages four to 12, and wish to register for the Summer Day Camp Subsidy, please indicate which services you are receiving:

If you receive Child Care Fee Subsidy please contact your Children's Services Representative for assistance accessing summer camp.

Youth Overnight Camp

If you have youth between the ages of 12 and 17 and wish to register for the Youth Camp Subsidy, please indicate which services you are receiving:

If you receive a rent subsidy (for example, Rent-Geared-to-Income, Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit (COHB)) or live in a designated housing community (Housing York Inc., York Region non-profit housing, co-operative housing community) in York Region, please attach one of the following required documents to confirm your eligibility:
   • Your most recent housing agreement
   • An up-to-date letter from your housing management confirming you are receiving a rent subsidy
