Celebrate Local Food Week with the 2026 York Farm Fresh Guide
Local Food Week returns from June 1 to 7, 2026, shining a spotlight on the farmers, food processors, retailers and restaurants who bring fresh, local food to our tables and nourish our communities.
This annual celebration during the first week of June is an opportunity to choose local whether you are shopping at grocery stores, farmers’ markets, on-farm markets, ordering online or enjoying a meal out.
Explore York Region with the York Farm Fresh Guide
The updated York Farm Fresh Guide is your gateway to discovering the Region’s diverse farm and food network. With more than 30 farms and five farmers’ markets, the guide makes it easy to find seasonal produce and memorable farm experiences.
As part of the York Farm Fresh experience, the Passport to Fresh contest has returned! Visit as many farms on the guide map as possible and collect virtual stamps by capturing photos at the farms. The more farms you visit, the more chances you have to win exciting prizes, all while supporting local businesses and celebrating the joy of local food.
Choosing local food supports York Region’s economy, reduces environmental impact and helps build a healthier, more resilient food system. It’s also a delicious way to connect with your community.
