2nd Concession Sewer and Holland Landing Valve Chamber Rehabilitation

York Region is rehabilitating 1.2 kilometres of sanitary sewer pipe along 2nd Concession Road, as well as eight maintenance holes. Work also includes upgrades to the Holland Landing Valve Chamber, including rehabilitation of the valve chamber and control panel and improvements to site drainage. To support construction activities, the property at 18929 2nd Concession Road will be used as a temporary staging and work area.

Duration: Fall 2026 to spring 2027

Impacts

  • Work will occur between Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with night and weekend work as required
  • No planned impacts to water or wastewater services, access to all homes and businesses will be maintained
  • Temporary southbound lane restrictions along 2nd Concession Road
  • Construction vehicles will periodically use the trail access from Parkside Drive to enter the work area
  • There will be some construction-related noise, every effort to control this will be made 

As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions; York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
