Notice of Construction Warden Avenue south of Major Mackenzie Drive East

York Region is rehabilitating a culvert on Warden Avenue south of Major Mackenzie Drive East. Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road.

Duration: Early summer 2025 to summer 2026

  • Culvert work will occur in 2025
  • Work will cease for the winter months and remaining repair work and restoration will commence in spring 2026

Impacts to travellers

  • Work will occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends when required
  • The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:
    • Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as required

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained. As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
