Notice of Night Work and Side Street Closures on Bathurst Street

Storm sewer work is taking place as part of widening and improvements to Bathurst Street from Highway 7 to Major Mackenzie Drive in the City of Vaughan and City of Richmond Hill. Storm sewer work is being completed at night and requires rolling side street closures. 

Side street closure duration: Monday, August 24, 2026 at 7 p.m. until Friday, August 28, 2026 at 7 a.m.

Description

  • Storm sewer work on Bathurst Street between Rutherford Road and Lebovic Campus Drive in the City of Vaughan
  • Crews are working at night to minimize impact to travellers and the community
  • This work is part of Bathurst Street improvements to accommodate growth and provide more options for travellers 

Traffic Impacts

  • There will be no access to Bathurst Street from the following side streets while crews are working on the storm sewer:  
    • Lebovic Campus Drive
    • Marc Santi Boulevard
    • George Kirby Street
  • Bathurst Street will be open to traffic with lane restrictions
  • Access to homes, businesses and local properties will be maintained

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather or other factors. York Region will provide advance notice where possible. For project updates and more information, visit york.ca/BathurstStreet.
