Notice of Paving and Traffic Impacts on Yonge Street, Davis Drive to Green Lane

York Region is paving on Yonge Street between Davis Drive and Green Lane. Traffic management will begin south of Davis Drive near Millard Avenue to guide traffic into the reduced lanes. This work is part of Yonge Street widening and improvements to enhance service and prepare for future growth.

Duration: July 14 to 15, 2026

Overnight paving

Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, July 15 at 7 a.m.

  • One lane only for northbound traffic
  • One lane only for southbound traffic

Daytime paving

Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • One lane only for northbound traffic
  • Two southbound lanes open

Road widening work started in summer 2025 and is expected to be completed in late 2027.

Access to homes, businesses and local properties will be maintained. As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather or other factors. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
