Join York Region’s Remembrance Day Service

Members of the community are invited to join York Region’s Remembrance Day Service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to honour the lives and sacrifices of Canadian heroes who have served, or continue to serve, our country.

The service will take place in the Great Hall of the York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket, beginning at 10:25 a.m. It will also be live streamed at york.ca/Live

A memorial display, including a travelling exhibit commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Aurora War Memorial, will be available for viewing in the Great Hall of the Administrative Centre, from Friday, November 7 to Monday, November 17, and at 17150 Yonge Street from Tuesday, November 18 to Sunday, November 30.

Residents are encouraged to commemorate Veterans’ Week and Remembrance Day in ways that are meaningful and personal. Please consider:

• Wearing a Poppy or donating to support veterans and their families in our communities
• Observing a two-minute silence on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11 a.m.
• Attending a Remembrance Day event in your community
