Road Closure on Kennedy Road for Georgina Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

York Region is making improvements to the Georgina Water Treatment Plant to continue providing reliable and high-quality water services to the community. As part of this work, a temporary road closure is required on Kennedy Road will be closed between Fawn Lane and Lake Drive East.

Road Closure Duration: Monday, April 27, 2026 until June 30, 2027 

Impacts

• Kennedy Road closed between Fawn Lane and Lake Drive East
• Traffic will detour around the closure
• Kennedy Road between Metro Road North and Fawn Lane will be open to local traffic only, with access to all homes and businesses maintained throughout the closure
• Signs will guide travellers
