Notice of Pedestrian Crossover Installations
York Region is installing pedestrian crossovers at seven locations in the Cities of Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan. New signage and pavement markings will be installed at designated right-turn lanes to increase visibility of pedestrian crossings at intersections.
Duration: June 2026 to September 2026
Locations
- Highway 7 and Laidlaw Boulevard, City of Markham
- Highway 7 and Bayview Connection Road, City of Richmond Hill
- Highway 7 and Silver Linden Drive, City of Richmond Hill
- Highway 7 and Red Maple Road, City of Richmond Hill
- Highway 7 and Yonge Connection Road, City of Richmond Hill
- Highway 7 and Langstaff Road, City of Vaughan
- Highway 7 and Centre Street, City of Vaughan
Impacts to Travellers
- Each intersection will take approximately two days to complete
- The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:
- Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
