Terms and Conditions

Event Date: Thursday, September 3, 2026

Registration is required to swap or take a bike. This event is exclusively for York Region residents by appointment only. Due to limited parking on site please arrive within your assigned 30‑minute time slot.

This event location is an operating waste depot and is intended for vehicular access only. Participants must arrive by vehicle and cannot ride a bicycle on-site. No bicycle test-drives will be permitted.

Each registrant may take up to two bicycles. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Bicycles brought to swap must be in good working order, with functional brakes, steering and pedals. E-bikes are not accepted.

Bicycles will be distributed as-is and may require repair or maintenance at the participant’s expense. A signed waiver is required before taking any bicycles home.

Bicycles cannot be reserved, held or claimed before the event date. No guarantees can be made regarding bicycle availability, condition, type, size, colour, make or model.

The purpose of this program is to provide free bicycles to the community. Bicycles are provided for personal use only and should not be sold for profit.

If you wish to donate bicycles only, no registration is required. Bicycles can be donated during regular operating hours at McCleary Court Community Environmental Centres.
