Do you want to try hiking but aren’t sure where to start?

We can help! Join us for an open house event to learn about hiking in the York Regional Forest.

You will learn:

  • How to prepare for a hike
  • Basic hiking safety tips
  • What plants and animals live in the Forest

You can also join a tour of the Bill Fisch Forest Stewardship and Education Centre and a short, beginner-friendly guided hike in the Forest led by the Oak Ridges Trail Association.

This is a great chance to learn, ask questions and enjoy nature!
