Accessibility Advisory Committee
The York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee (YRAAC) advises Regional Council and York Regional Police on how to make it easier for people with disabilities to use York Region programs, services and facilities.
The majority of committee members are people with disabilities, as required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

York Region is actively seeking six new resident members to serve on the York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee for the 2027 to 2030 term. This important volunteer opportunity is available to York Region residents at least 18 years old or individuals who represent organizations that provide services to York Region residents with disabilities.
