Field Study Notice - High Street and Woodriver Bend Sewage Pumping Stations

The Regional Municipality of York is conducting field studies in support of the High Street and Woodriver Bend Sewage Pumping Stations, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study in the community of Sutton, in the Town of Georgina. 

The field studies are part of the Class EA study looking at facility upgrades, locations and expansion options to ensure reliable wastewater servicing. There may be several field study crews on-site at different times, which could include:

• Topographical survey
• Utility survey
• Geotechnical investigation
• Natural environment review
• Hydrogeological investigation

Duration: November 2025 to January 2026

Impacts

• Access to all homes and businesses will be maintained and there is no impact to your water or wastewater
• Advance notice will be provided if crews need to access to any properties
• A drill rig may be required for the geotechnical borehole drilling and additional groundwater monitoring wells may be installed; the area will be restored when the work is completed
