Mobile Drinking Water Trailer
Tap’d In is a drinking water trailer that provides safe and clean drinking water available at public events in York Region.
The Tap’d In water trailer has:
- Eight drinking fountains
- Eight water bottle-filling taps
- One self-filling dog bowl station
- One wheelchair-accessible drinking tap
- Two taps with steps designed for small children
Cost
The Tap’d In drinking water trailer is free for events that meet the eligibility requirements.
Eligibility
Tap’d In is available for use at events hosted by:
- York Region
- Local cities and towns in York Region
- Non‑profit registered charities hosting events in York Region
For your event to be considered, it must:
- Take place in York Region between June 1 and September 29; please note Tap’d In is not available on statutory/civic holidays or holiday weekends
- Be a single-day event lasting at least 4 hours
- Be open to the public and have at least 300 people attending
- Registration must be received a minimum of 30 days in advance of the event
- Have suitable access for the delivery, set-up and pick-up of the trailer with space next to it for a York Region display
- A level surface to park the trailer
How to Register
Thank you for your interest in the Tap’d In Water Trailer. Tap’d In is now accepting applications for the 2026 season for events that take place between June 1 – September 29, 2026.
Due to the volume of requests received, York Region cannot guarantee attendance at every event. Event attendance is at the sole discretion of York Region staff and will be determined by staff availability. Along with the Tap’d In Mobile Water Trailer, York Region may also bring a tent/table/display with Public Works materials to the event to promote Public Works initiatives. Attendance at an event is based on York Region staff availability. We aim to respond to all requests at least three weeks in advance of the event date.
