York Region mourns the passing of Niagara Regional Chair Jim Bradley
York Region is saddened to learn of the passing of Niagara Regional Chair Jim Bradley, who dedicated more than 55 years to public service. On behalf of York Regional Council, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and all those whose lives he touched.
Chair Bradley’s career in public life was extraordinary. He began as a St. Catharines councillor, served more than four decades as an MPP at Queen’s Park and led as Niagara Regional Chair since 2018. Throughout his career, Jim was a man of great character who served with an unwavering commitment to his community.
His many contributions included advancing environmental stewardship, modernizing transit and strengthening health care, infrastructure and culture. These efforts improved the quality of life for residents and will have a lasting impact for generations to come.
Jim will be remembered as a leader of great character, a trusted colleague and a true public servant whose impact will be felt for generations.
