Road Closure on Ravenshoe Road at Kennedy Road for culvert repairs
York Region is making repairs to an existing culvert crossing Ravenshoe Road at Kennedy Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury and Town of Georgina. Temporary road closures are required to complete this work.
Duration: Construction is expected to take two to three days to complete, with work set to begin on Saturday, April 25, 2026
Impacts to Travellers
- Ravenshoe Road at Kennedy Road will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026
- Traffic will not be able to travel through the intersection
- Only local traffic will be permitted on Ravenshoe Road from Warden Avenue to McCowan Road and Kennedy Road from Glenwoods Avenue to Boag Road
- All travellers, including truck traffic, are reminded to abide by any road restrictions when planning an alternate route
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
- The Georgina Waste Transfer Station located at 23068 Warden Avenue will remain open during regular business hours
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
