Caregivers: we want to hear from you!
York Region is researching how extreme heat impacts seniors in York Region. We want to hear from caregivers about their experiences supporting seniors during extreme heat, the challenges they face and what could help them keep seniors safe during hot weather.
York Region is inviting caregivers to participate in small group conversations led by a representative working on behalf of York Region. Participants will be invited to share their experiences, perspectives and ideas.
Focus groups may take place virtually using Zoom or in person at locations in York Region, depending on participant interest and availability.
- Sessions will take place until September 2026
- Each session will take one to two hours
- Participants will receive a gift card for their time and effort
- After signing up, the project team will contact participants about potential focus group dates and times based on their availability
Who Can Participate
- Caregivers (age 18+) of seniors (age 55+) living in York Region
- People who are able to communicate in English
