Seniors and Caregivers: we want to hear from you!
York Region is researching how extreme heat impacts seniors in York Region. We want to hear about what seniors experience during extreme heat, and what caregivers do to help keep seniors safe.
These focus groups will be small group conversations between York Region residents and a representative working on behalf of York Region to collect responses. Participants will be invited to share their experiences with extreme heat, challenges they have faced, and ideas for what could make it easier to stay cool and safe. Sessions will take place in June 2026 at several locations across York Region.

- Seniors (age 55+) living in York Region and not currently living in an assisted living facility (e.g., long-term care)
- Caregivers (age 18+) of seniors living in York Region
