Nobleton Groundwater Production Well #6 Testing - Construction Update

The Regional Municipality of York is completing the construction of the new Nobleton Groundwater Production Well #6 at 12860 Highway 27, in the community of Nobleton.

The new groundwater production well is needed to add water system capacity and support the groundwater supply system for the community.

As part of this project, York Region needs to test the groundwater supply from production well #6.

When: Between April and October 2023

What You Can Expect:

• During the periodic pumping test, the equipment on-site is expected to operate for up to 72 hours. There will be continuous noise from the equipment; every effort to minimize this will be made
• The Township of King has provided a Noise Exemption Permit (NEP-2023-001) for the groundwater pumping tests
• Staff will be on-site for the duration of the groundwater well testing
• There are no planned impacts to your water or wastewater services
• Access to all homes will be maintained
